Our = Every one on a NUSD school campus is responsible for addressing bullying, mandatory reporting for ALL staff

While parents barraged the Board will the gut-wrenching stories, they often stated, 00nd the school did little or nothing to protect my child.00nbsp; Behind me I could hear the sputtering and muttering from our site administrators.  How many of these incidents had been reported to principals?  Only a few. How many parents portrayed the district and site staff as 00ot doing anything to stop it00yet a review of disciplinary records over three years looking specifically at bullying showed the response to documented bullying resulted in imposition of serious disciplinary action.  This belief system, that even if the school culture 00alks it talk00 does not turn a blind eye to horseplay, put-downs, or 00ust-kidding00 threats and aggressively investigates bullying incidents, and 00chools00 don00 really respond.  This is a perception vs. reality that becomes a function of school culture and is itself a barrier to effective action.

Building a Caring Majority 00Peer-to-Peer

Anonymous reporting, consequences for retaliation for reporting
