Using the Internet, ERAS transmits the following documents from applicants and medical schools to residency program directors:
Residency applications Letters of Recommendation (LoRs) Medical Student Performance Evaluation (aka, your Dean00 letter) Transcripts and Other supporting credentials
ERAS is made up of four essential components:

The Web site you will use to:
complete your Common Application Form request Letters of Recommendation order your scores from the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination order your scores from the United States Medical Licensing Examination select programs and assign documents to the programs to which you are applyingDean00 Office Workstation :
The office* which scans and attaches:
Your medical school transcript MSPE, and LoRs to your electronic file *For OU-COM students this is our office, the Office of Student Affairs. *For ACOM students, this would most likely be the office which writes your Dean00 letters.ERAS PostOffice:
Where the DWS (our office) transmits all the documents to the PostOffice via the Internet.
The PostOffice sends the documents to the programs to which you are applying.
Program Director00 Workstation (PDWS):
Is used by the programs where you are applying to download the application materials to review and sort the application pool.
