The City of Vallejos Maintenance Division is Soliciting Quotations from qualified vendors to furnish ten (10) vehicles as
described below and on the following pages. It is the intent and purpose of this specification to purchase for the City of Vallejo
newly manufactured unused and current year production automobiles of the latest commercial type and design. The equipment
must meet or exceed the construction and performance specifications described in the following minimum specification. The
bidder shall be required to specify and document ANY DEVIATIONS FROM THE WRITTEN SPECIFICATION shown in this
request for quotation.
Any reference to a specific manufacturer or make or model of product not followed by or equivalent or or equal may not be
substituted. This requirement is due to the Citys efforts to economize by standardization, reducing parts stocking and personnel
training. This detailed specification shall be considered minimal, and the bidder is expected to increase them where necessary to
meet the general intent.
Full size automobile, 4-door sedan, in accordance with the enclosed specifications. All units shall be furnished complete with
standard equipment and factory installed options and accessories as listed and specified herein. Specifications shall not be altered
without the written approval of the City of Vallejo. Vehicles must meet State of California Highway Patrol High Speed Pursuit
Specifications.

All equipment furnished as standard by the manufacturer shall be included, if not stated in the written specifications.
Prior to delivery, all equipment specified herein shall be completed, installed and serviced as necessary to assure proper operation
and function.
Any deviations from the written specification shown in the Request for Quotation shall be noted on a separate sheet with listing of
exceptions to this specification.
Bidder shall submit with quote, complete current illustrative and technical data on the proposed equipment.
Quoted prices must include all necessary dealer preparation applicable to new equipment and destination delivery charges from the
factory to the dealer, and all freight charges from dealer to the City of Vallejos Corp Yard (111 Amador St.).
The City reserves the right to request a demonstration on the proposed equipment for evaluation purposes prior to bid award.
Title to the vehicle shall pass to the City at the F.O.B. point destination (City of Vallejo Corp Yard), subject to the right of the City
to reject upon inspection.
The City reserves the right and shall be at liberty to inspect all materials and workmanship and shall have the right to reject all
materials and workmanship which do not conform with the equipment specification provided; However, the City is under no duty
to make such inspection. Should it be determined, after inspection, that a conditional acceptance exists and corrections are needed
to bring the vehicle up to the specified standards listed herein, the City, for the purpose of earning the discount, may extend the
date of complete acceptance beyond the date of delivery.
The successful bidder shall make available to the City upon request, technical information for the special equipment ordered. If
videotape instruction is available for these items, it shall also be made available.
a. Maintenance and operation manual covering the equipment parts and supplies. b. Service manuals covering the equipment, parts and supplies. c. Parts listing giving service part numbers complete in every detail covering the equipment.
Warranty: All material and workmanship herein specified including all equipment furnished by the successful bidder
shall be guaranteed to be free from defective material or workmanship for the manufacturers standard warranty period.
Bidder shall be required to furnish and install all parts and pay any additional expense to repair the vehicle that has been
caused by the defective workmanship, equipment or material during this period, at no cost to the City of Vallejo.
Order Acknowledgement: The successful bidder, after receipt of a City of Vallejo Purchase Order, shall be required to furnish the
Vehicle Maint. Manager a copy of the factory order acknowledgment or production date(s) for the equipment ordered.
Cash discounts must be shown on bid, otherwise prices will be considered net.
REGISTRATION: SELLING DEALER SHALL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER THE VEHICLE WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES. REGISTRATION MUST BE FOR EXEMPT LICENSE
PLATES. REGISTERED LEGAL OWNER IS AS FOLLOWS: CITY OF VALLEJO, 111 AMADOR ST., VALLEJO,
CA. 94590.
PRICE: 1. Bid price is to be firm fixed. 2. Bid price to include all costs chargeable to the City. The Dealer will assume all costs including transportation and any other expense. All costs to the City shall be included in
prices entered on Bid Sheet.

BID EVALUATION: Except as otherwise noted on Bid Sheet, bid price will be evaluated on a net cost basis, less any discount and the local bidder
preference if qualified. Bidders may offer any discount for payment of services made within thirty (30) days of completion of
delivery and receipt of a properly prepared invoice.
PAYMENT:
In accordance with the prices quoted in the successful bid, the City agrees to pay for all equipment/vehicle. The City shall make
payment to the Contractor on a NET 30 days basis for equipment actually received and accepted. ENTIRE AGREEMENT:
This contract sets forth the entire Agreement between the parties, and supersedes all other oral or written provisions.
SUBMISSION OF BIDS/PROPOSALS:
All bids must be submitted to the City Clerks Office, 555 Santa Clara Street, 3 rd Floor, Vallejo, CA 94590. All proposals shall be sealed and marked with Quotation Reference number RFQ No. 119-2406-06. The City Clerk must receive all Quotes on or before
September 22, 2005, 2:00 p.m. All bids received after this date will be considered late, non-responsive, and will not be opened for
evaluation. All questions regarding this proposal shall be directed to the City of Vallejo Maintenance Division, Fleet Manager, at

Bidder shall submit with quote, complete current illustrative and technical data on the proposed equipment.
Quoted prices must include all necessary dealer preparation applicable to new equipment and destination delivery charges from the
factory to the dealer, and all freight charges from dealer to the City of Vallejos Corp Yard (111 Amador St.).
The City reserves the right to request a demonstration on the proposed equipment for evaluation purposes prior to bid award.
Title to the vehicle shall pass to the City at the F.O.B. point destination (City of Vallejo Corp Yard), subject to the right of the City
to reject upon inspection.
The City reserves the right and shall be at liberty to inspect all materials and workmanship and shall have the right to reject all
materials and workmanship which do not conform with the equipment specification provided; However, the City is under no duty
to make such inspection. Should it be determined, after inspection, that a conditional acceptance exists and corrections are needed
to bring the vehicle up to the specified standards listed herein, the City, for the purpose of earning the discount, may extend the
date of complete acceptance beyond the date of delivery.
The successful bidder shall make available to the City upon request, technical information for the special equipment ordered. If
videotape instruction is available for these items, it shall also be made available.
a. Maintenance and operation manual covering the equipment parts and supplies. b. Service manuals covering the equipment, parts and supplies. c. Parts listing giving service part numbers complete in every detail covering the equipment.
Warranty: All material and workmanship herein specified including all equipment furnished by the successful bidder
shall be guaranteed to be free from defective material or workmanship for the manufacturers standard warranty period.
Bidder shall be required to furnish and install all parts and pay any additional expense to repair the vehicle that has been
caused by the defective workmanship, equipment or material during this period, at no cost to the City of Vallejo.
Order Acknowledgement: The successful bidder, after receipt of a City of Vallejo Purchase Order, shall be required to furnish the
Vehicle Maint. Manager a copy of the factory order acknowledgment or production date(s) for the equipment ordered.
Cash discounts must be shown on bid, otherwise prices will be considered net.
REGISTRATION: SELLING DEALER SHALL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER THE VEHICLE WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES. REGISTRATION MUST BE FOR EXEMPT LICENSE
PLATES. REGISTERED LEGAL OWNER IS AS FOLLOWS: CITY OF VALLEJO, 111 AMADOR ST., VALLEJO,
CA. 94590.
PRICE: 1. Bid price is to be firm fixed. 2. Bid price to include all costs chargeable to the City. The Dealer will assume all costs including transportation and any other expense. All costs to the City shall be included in
prices entered on Bid Sheet.

BID EVALUATION: Except as otherwise noted on Bid Sheet, bid price will be evaluated on a net cost basis, less any discount and the local bidder
preference if qualified. Bidders may offer any discount for payment of services made within thirty (30) days of completion of
delivery and receipt of a properly prepared invoice.
PAYMENT:
In accordance with the prices quoted in the successful bid, the City agrees to pay for all equipment/vehicle. The City shall make
payment to the Contractor on a NET 30 days basis for equipment actually received and accepted. ENTIRE AGREEMENT:
This contract sets forth the entire Agreement between the parties, and supersedes all other oral or written provisions.
SUBMISSION OF BIDS/PROPOSALS:
All bids must be submitted to the City Clerks Office, 555 Santa Clara Street, 3 rd Floor, Vallejo, CA 94590. All proposals shall be sealed and marked with Quotation Reference number RFQ No. 119-2406-06. The City Clerk must receive all Quotes on or before
September 22, 2005, 2:00 p.m. All bids received after this date will be considered late, non-responsive, and will not be opened for
