The following shall constitute a contract of employment made between _____________________________________________ herein referred to as client, and _____________________________________________ herein referred to artist.
The following sections confirm the terms of employment.
Section 1. EMPLOYMENT OF ARTISTClient hereby engages artist to perform at___________________________________, and the artist hereby accepts such employment on the terms set forth in this contract.
SECTION 2. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTThe terms of employment shall

SECTION 3. COMPENSATIONIn consideration of artist00 services, client agrees to pay artist a ________________fee. The total amount of compensation ($_______) will be paid by the client to the artist upon the fulfillment of the terms outlined in Section 2. If the artist fails to appear, or is incapacitated from fulfilling the terms outlined in Section 2 through sickness or otherwise, artist will not receive any compensation.
SECTION 4. DUTIES OF ARTISTArtist shall provide his/her services in a competent manner, arrive and perform at times agreed upon by the parties, abide by all reasonable rules and requirements that client shall make, and as long as client fully performs its obligations hereunder, render services exclusively for client during the term of this contract.
SECTION 5. TRANSPORTATIONArtist agrees to provide his/her own transportation to the event.

Artist agrees to provide for his/her own board during his/her employment under the terms of this contract.
SECTION 7. PUBLICITY (If applicable)Client will arrange for any publicity that the client deems appropriate for the event(s) at which the artist engages in while under the terms of Section 2. Artist agrees to provide or pose for customary and usual photographs to be used for publicity if so requested by client.
SECTION 8. SALES OF RECORDINGS (If applicable)Client agrees to offer for sale copies of artist00 recordings, if provided by artist. Artist agrees to allow client to retain ten percent (10%) of all net sales of artist00 recordings sold during the terms of Section 2. Artist will assume all postage costs involving the sales of his/her recordings.
SECTION 9. RECORDING OF EVENTSWhere the artist00 performance at an event is recorded, in whole or in part, artist hereby releases client to use such recordings for its archives only. If an artist00 performances are recorded for other purposes, client agrees to obtain an additional release from the artist prior to the use of any such recordings.
SECTION 10. TERMINATIONEither party may terminate this contract by giving the other party at least four (4) weeks notice in writing. This contract shall automatically terminate without further notice at the end of the term of employment as specified in Section 2.
SECTION 11. INDEMNIFICATIONArtist agrees to indemnify
client against all loss or damage that artist may suffer as a result
of being engaged by client. If the Artist is unable to perform any engagement
set forth in Section 2 thereof for any reason beyond the control of
the Artist, including without limitation, illness, accident, or other
incapacity, fires, labor disputes, or Act of God, this agreement shall
terminate with respect to any performance so affected and neither party
shall be liable to the other for any damages arising from the Artist00
inability to perform.
