Meeting convened at 1:20 p.m.
1. Audit Discrepancies Cindy Guay, DIAND, informed Jody of a discrepancy between the 2001-02 contribution agreement & budget and the audit; line item Board Member Work
appears in the audit but not in the budget (refers to chairs stipend); line item
considered to be a disallowable expenditure by DIAND Finance; SRRB to repay
$10,000 Executive committee suggests reviewing previous audits and discussing with auditor the SRRBs options; indicated that this line item had been discussed
previously (search past minutes for reference); find any documents from DIAND
referring to this disallowable expenditure 2. Board Member & Alternate Appointments/Reappointments DIAND will not have the board reappointments and new appointments before the scheduled board meeting (Feb. 11-15 in Fort Good Hope) Hold board conference call on Jan. 29 to discuss pressing items: 2002-03 budget, chairs reappointment, executive director trainee & other Reschedule board meeting for late Feb. or early Mar. to deal with funding proposals and regular items 3. Executive Director Trainee Applicants Screening Executive committee feels that none of the applicants meet the required criteria for an executive director trainee Suggestions: re-advertise position, encourage high school students at career fairs, approach scholarship winners to see if interested Decision to be made during board conference call 4. Policies & Procedure Manual B. Thompson from Davis & Co. sent Judith Wright-Bird a demand letter for the manual and disks with a deadline date of Dec.21/01; nothing was received by our
office; B. Thompson to contact Judith via telephone
