Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my Enterprise Flex
funds to manage licenses deployed outside of my current Enterprise Flexible
contract?
No. The funds can only be
applied toward management of license deployed under the agreement to
which the funds are tied.
If I have license keys not
part of an Enterprise Options contract, can I access them from the same
place as my Enterprise Flex license keys?
No. License keys are accessible
in one of three ways:
License keys for licenses
purchased under an Enterprise Flexible contract are manageable using
the Symantec00 Enterprise
Flex application, which is a password protected online application.
License keys for licenses
fulfilled using the Symantec License Management portal (formerly known
as vLicense) are managed within that application.
Any licenses purchased and/or
fulfilled outside of the above, will not be accessible online.
Can Symantec tell me which
licenses I have purchased?
Your License Catalog contains
the history of all licenses you have received by way of the License
Management, Enterprise Flexible, and Symantec Voucher Center applications.
At this time any licenses that have been issued to you from other methods
will not appear in your License Catalog.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are user and contract-defined
fields?
You can use defined fields
for adding descriptive fields to license keys available in your account
or capturing additional information on each deployment. These fields
can then be used when generating or searching for a license key.
Are all products available
in the Enterprise Options Program?
Both security AND availability
products are available. However, please note that certain software product/families
are not available to be sold as site licenses due to technology and
licensing constraints. Please contact your Sales Account Manager for
more information
Can a customer view the remaining
available balance on his Enterprise Flexible contract?
Yes. The designated super
user and/or Configuration super user can view their current balance
on the Enterprise Flex online contract details page. Please contact
your Customer Service Representative for assistance.
