MAPLEWOOD RICHMOND HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT
REGULAR SPECIAL SESSION - February 5, 2007
The Board of Education of the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District of St. Louis County,
Missouri, met for Regular Session on Monday, February 5, 2007, in the MRH Central Office
Boardroom, 7539 Manchester Road, Maplewood, Missouri. President Montford called the meeting to
order at 5: 37 pm.
Present: Mrs. Montford, Rev. Malone, Mr. Mitten, Mr. Findley, Mrs. Blankenship and Mr. Klein
Absent: Mrs. O'Sullivan
Also present: Dr. Henke, Mr. Pearson
1.01 Welcome Visitors and Guests
9.01 Server Hardware
Motion was made by Mr. Mitten and seconded by Mr. Findley that the Board of Education accepts the
contract submitted by Apple Inc. for 24 - 500 GB hard drives and one server at a cost of $20,339 as
presented. The vote on the motion was YES: Mr. Findley, Mr. Mitten, Mrs. Blankenship, Rev. Malone,
Mr. Klein and Mrs. Montford. NO: none Motion carried 6-0.
9.02 Voice Mail System
Motion was made by Mr. Mitten and seconded by Mr. Findley that the Board of Education accepts the
contract submitted by CMS for new voice mail system for CO/HS/MS/SSC/New Horizons/Joe's
Place/Elementary and eventually ECC at a cost of $20,118 as presented. The vote on the motion was
YES: Mr. Findley, Mr. Mitten, Mrs. Blankenship, Rev. Malone, Mr. Klein and Mrs. Montford. NO:
none Motion carried 6-0.
9.03 Cell Phone Service
Motion was made by Mr. Mitten and seconded by Mr. Findley that the Board of Education accepts the
contract submitted by Cingular for 55 cell phones to replace 48 Nextel phones at a cost of $1,892.26 per
month as presented. The vote on the motion was YES: Mr. Findley, Mr. Mitten, Mrs. Blankenship, Rev.
Malone, Mr. Klein and Mrs. Montford. NO: none Motion carried 6-0.
9.04 Phone System Maintenance
Motion was made by Mr. Mitten and seconded by Mr. Findley that the Board of Education accepts the
contract submitted by CMS to provide phone system maintenance at a cost of $635.50 per month as
presented. The vote on the motion was YES: Mr. Findley, Mr. Mitten, Mrs. Blankenship, Rev. Malone,
Mr. Klein and Mrs. Montford. NO: none Motion carried 6-0.

9.05 Network Equipment for Elementary and District - amended cost amount from original
motion
Motion was made by Mr. Mitten and seconded by Mr. Findley that the Board of Education accepts the
contract submitted by AT&T for new network equipment for Elementary and VPN for the district at a
cost of #38,118.67 as presented. The vote on the motion was YES: Mr. Findley, Mr. Mitten, Mrs.
Blankenship, Rev. Malone, Mr. Klein and Mrs. Montford. NO: none Motion carried 6-0.
9.06 Motion to go into Executive Session
Motion was made by Mr. Klein and seconded by Mr. Findley that the Board of Education in accordance
with section 610.021, subsection 1 (legal) and sections 3 and 13 (personnel) and section 610.022 of the
Revised Statutes of Missouri go into Executive Session on February 5, 2007 for the specific reasons
listed. The vote on the motion was YES: Mr. Findley, Mr. Mitten, Mrs. Blankenship, Rev. Malone, Mr.
Klein and Mrs. Montford. NO: none Motion carried 6-0.
