David Tomkins
Free trade and the new "global economy" have created
opportunities for Canadians to pursue business and
careers outside of Canada. Many Canadian small
businesses are testing the "free trade" waters and are
expanding into the United States. These trends have
created new and exciting opportunities for advisors
equipped to provide advice on expatriate employee and
health benefits.
With this in mind we have asked CAIFA Vancouver-Fraser
Valley member David Tompkins, CLU to share his
expertise on this subject with his presentation
"Expatriate Employee Benefits and Health
Insurance" .
David is President of Tompkins Financial Group Ltd.,
which owns and operates Expat Financial-an international
insurance brokerage firm that specializes in life, health,
travel and disability insurance to expatriates, their
employers and even some local nationals around the
world. David has worked in the insurance business since
1991, has a BA (Honours) from Queen's University at
Kingston, Ontario.
David has frequently spoken on the subject of expatriate
insurance and has written several articles on international
insurance issues, including one published in the January,
2000 edition of CAIFA Forum magazine.
