CTI is lead by General Manager Harley
Adams and Sales Manager Johnny Adams,
both dealership principals. Harley and
Johnny worked themselves up through the
organization and have over 60 years of
combined experience. Harley is only the
second GM in the company's 40-year
history. There is strong family influence
throughout the organization.

CTI's management style is centralized.
Major decisions, planning, and similar
activities are done "centrally" so each
location works in harmony with one
another. Employees are given a great deal
of autonomy as it is earned at the local

OPPORTUNITY
Concordia Tractor, Inc celebrated its 40th
Anniversary in 2007. What started as a
single location John Deere dealership has
now grown to four locations with market
responsibility in 13 counties throughout
North Central Kansas. CTI's past success,
its history of growth, and the ability to
capture future opportunities are testaments
to the quality of employees working for
CTI. To meet the demands of a
challenging future, CTI is continually
looking for outstanding individuals to
work in our Parts, Service, and Sales
departments.
LOCATIONS
1. Concordia, KS . Concordia is the
original CTI location and the largest in
sales and number of employees. Plans are
in the works for a new state of the art
facility on the north edge of Concordia.
Concordia has a population of just fewer
than 5,500 people and is the home of
Cloud County Community College and the
historic Brown Grand Theatre. Concordia
is located in the heart of the Republican
River Valley and is a sportsman's paradise
with plentiful upland birds, turkey, & deer.
2. Clay Center, KS . Clay Center was
acquired by CTI in 2000. The town's
population is approximately 4,500 people
and is just 40 minutes from Manhattan and
Kansas State University. Nearby Milford
Reservoir is one of the premier fishing
lakes in Kansas.
3. Abilene, KS . The Abilene location
was acquired in January 2005. Abilene is a
thriving community of over 6,500 people,
with a large population of young people.
Abilene is strategically located on I70 in
the center of the Salina, Junction City, and
Manhattan corridor.
4. Wamego, KS . Wamego is the most
recent CTI acquisition (November 2006).
Wamego is a growing community of 4,000
people. It is a hub of activity, located
between Manhattan and Topeka. Wamego
residents of all ages will enjoy the
community sports facility which will be
completed in 2008.
DEPARTMENTS
CTI has three profit centers within its
organization - Parts, Service, and Sales.
All three require highly capable people that
can supply an exceptional level of service
to our customers.
1. Parts . Our Parts Departments typically
employ 3-5 individuals per location.
Experience with farm equipment is highly
valued, but CTI has also had great success
with individuals possessing limited
experience but strong customer relation
skills.
2. Service . Our Service Departments
have 12-15 service personnel per location.
Each location has a wide range of
experience levels ranging from 25+ years
to new technical school graduates. CTI is
very committed to continual training and
budgets at least 16 training hours per
technician annually.
3. Sales . Our Sales Departments
currently employ 18 individuals and they
all handle both Agriculture and Consumer
products. CTI salesmen are highly
motivated and prosper in a strong
teamwork oriented environment.
EDUCATIONAL
OPPORTUNITIES
John Deere Career Partnership programs
offer technical training in the fields of
Parts, Service, Sales and Dealer
Management. It also provides exclusive
opportunities to EARN WHILE YOU
LEARN.
Scholarships for each
program are available through both
John Deere and CTI .
John Deere's Ag Tech Program is 21
months and the Ag Parts Program is 18
months in length. Students rotate between
college classroom learning and paid
internships at CTI. Upon graduation,
students earn an Associate of Applied
Sciences degree and in most all cases have
a full time job waiting for their arrival.
Participating schools in our area include
Southeast Community College in Milford,
NE and Fort Scott Community College in
Fort Scott, KS.
The Dealer Management program is a
cooperative partnership between John
Deere and the Agriculture Technology
Management department of the College of
Agriculture at Kansas State University.
Students must work at least one summer
before their junior year as an intern with
CTI.
CTI is highly supportive of these programs
and has had great success with graduates in
all fields.
