RE: Implementation of New Medicaid Management Information System
in Kentucky
Dear KyHealth Choices Provider:
Kentucky's Medicaid modernization efforts are well underway and as a KyHealth Choices
provider, we want to keep you informed of any changes that may affect you and your patients.
One of our most exciting milestones will occur March 05, 2007 with the implementation of the
new Kentucky MMIS system. The enhancements this system will bring to KyHealth Choices
will be significant.
The Department for Medicaid Services, along with our partners, are working to ensure a
seamless implementation process as well as to minimize any adverse affects on the provider and
member community.
The new MMIS system will feature:
00Real-time claims processing
00Interactive claims submission
00Browser-based screens
00Ability to correct and resubmit claims immediately
