This one-daywork shop offers an opportunity to explore how anger
management programmes can be developed for use with young
people for whom anger present sap roblem. The workshop will
place significantempha sis on how best to help young pe oplebegin
to understand and mana get heir own anger.
The programme will include:
differing the ore tical perspectives of anger
how to engage young people in an germ anagement
how anger can be vie wed as useful and positive as well as
harmful and negative
where anger comes fr om and what happens when we get angry
tools to help young people to understand and begin to manage
their anger.
Who should attend?
This workshop is appropriate forth ose working with young pe ople
in a wide variety of set tings across both the statutory and voluntary
sectors, particularly th ose involved in social work, resid en ti al care,
fostering, teacher sand classroom assistants, community educati on
and youth workers an doth ers whose work brings them into contact
withy oungpeople on are gular basis.

The workshop will be led by Stan God ekwhoisanexperi enced
social work trainer and practitioner in the field ofchildcare.
