It is a forum for the exchange of ideas and dissemination of information regarding new and existing technology, as well as the impact of security-related technology on society. Participation in the Carnahan Conference also provides a basis for long-range support and assistance to authorities and agencies in the use of technology for security, safety, law enforcement, and emergency response purposes. TOPICS Papers are sought which describe recent developments in the following fields: 1. Sensor and detection technology, including, principles of operation and signal analysis 2. Emergency management 18. Network intrusion detection technology and virus protection 19. Border security ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS Abstracts and papers must be in English. The title of the paper must be clearly stated. Abstracts must state the topic field number from the list above, keywords, and author's personal data. Papers will be selected by the Technical Program Committee and authors will be notified of the decision of the Committee. The accepted papers will require a copyright, signed by the principal author, to be on file in our office prior to publishing. The full text of papers selected will be published in the Conference Proceedings available at the conference and through IEEE. A condition of acceptance is attendance at the conference. Authors will be responsible for their own travel and related expenses. Authors will pay 50% of the regular registration fee. SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS Abstracts should be submitted to Carnahan Conference 2006, using the reply card attached, or, via e-mail, to lsanson@infionline.net. The e-mail should contain all the data requested on the reply card and have attached the abstract in RTF, PDF, or PS format. An abstract web submission procedure is also available in the conference website www.carnahanconference.com. PUBLICATION OF PAPERS In order to have your completed paper printed in the 2006 IEEE ICCST Proceedings, the author's paid registration fee must be sent with the paper.
